The ERP system Odoo, which was launched on the market in 2004 as TinyERP, has undergone rapid development and is now used by companies all over the world. In Germany alone, there will be an estimated 1,000 companies with around 40,000 users using Odoo in 2021.
This development is not at all surprising, because Odoo offers numerous advantages not only for the companies, but also for the users. The modular architecture enables companies to digitize exactly those processes that are relevant to them. This makes Odoo not only flexible to use, but also scalable at any time. Thanks to its open source basis, Odoo is actively maintained by a large community of developers to meet the growing demands of customers and to develop new, innovative applications. A modern design, a structured structure with a high recognition value across the different modules as well as the intuitive usability make it easier for users to find their way around the ERP system and thus increase its performance.
At the same time, it becomes clear to us as Odoo partners time and again that Odoo's focus is not yet extensive enough on the German market. On the one hand, this concerns the awareness of the ERP system in order to keep up with the competition on the German market. On the other hand, within our implementation projects we repeatedly encounter challenges in the technical realization due to, for example, missing or incorrect translations, lack of DIN conformity of layouts or the connection of interfaces, especially in the accounting area.
For this reason, we have established a cooperation with three Odoo partners - Odoo für Deutschland ("Odoo for Germany"). Odoo for Germany, that is much. GmbH, SAMSA-IT GmbH und manaTec GmbH. Together we pursue the goal to increase the visibility of Odoo and the respective partners through joint marketing activities and to strengthen Odoo as an ERP system on the market. Furthermore, we cooperate in the form of exchanging our respective specially developed Odoo modules in order to work even more effectively and efficiently in our Odoo projects. By working together in cross-company project teams, we ensure the successful completion of major projects.
