E-mail communication from Odoo is a great thing. Management of company contacts, direct customer support, quoting and invoicing, or simple marketing can be perfectly mapped with Odoo. But what about multiple companies within one Odoo system? With multi-company we get the possibility to create and manage several companies in Odoo and to map their business processes.

Our Multi-Company E-Mail Bundle is a package to optimize your communication via e-mail in Odoo in a multi-company environment and ensures the company-specific use of e-mail addresses, signatures and SMTP servers.
In the Odoo standard, we can only communicate with our stored e-mail address when switching between our companies. But how does this actually work if we use multi-company, communicate with the customer via our different companies and want to use separate e-mail addresses?
This is exactly where multi-company e-mail comes into play. With our Multi-Company E-Mail Bundle, we get a powerful tool that allows us to switch between companies in the blink of an eye and automatically adopt our company-specific e-mail address, signature and, depending on the configuration, the matching SMTP server right away.
But how exactly does it work?
First, we create a user account in company 1 with our e-mail address, signature and use an outgoing e-mail server, e.g. from Google. From company 1, we use our "default account" here, which is also the primary user account. So if we change the e-mail address in company 1, we hereby affect the login to Odoo with this account.
Now, in order to be able to use multi-company e-mail, we switch to company 2.
Once there, we see that the e-mail address and signature are exactly the same as in company 1. Now we edit our stored e-mail address and signature in company 2.
This doesn't have any impact on the login data to our Odoo system. In parallel, we can additionally select our second e-mail outgoing server in company 2. In this example we use the Outlook SMTP from Microsoft.
If we switch between our companies via quick selection, as described before, we can see that the e-mail address, signature and SMTP server also change with our switch, depending on the company. This means that our previously defined data of the respective company will automatically change with the company selection and can be used immediately specific to the company.
This gives us the ability to work on multiple levels despite having a single platform. Once set up, the Multi-Company E-Mail Bundle helps us to respond individually and effectively to general communications as well as customer requests.
